Everyone loves a social media selfie, but did you know it may be costing you a job?

Nine out of 10 bosses check applicants on Facebook, with half having reconsidered offering a job after seeing a candidate’s social media accounts.

More than 90% of employers use Facebook and Twitter to “keep tabs” on potential candidates, and to vet them pre-interview.

But 55% of recruiters reconsidered appointing someone based upon their social media profiles, with 61% of these decisions due to “negative” reasons.
