It’s an interesting quirk of human nature that we compare and contrast what we have with those around us. I think it is a key piece of evolutionary biology, an innate desire to develop our talent and ultimately out-compete those around us.
This need has also manifested itself in organisational behaviour; with companies looking to outperform one another for customers, market share and talent in a bid to survive and thrive, but what is it that organisations covet most about one another, what is it they admire? What makes talent think the grass will be greener if they make the leap?
Our colleagues in Norway handed us an infographic that surveyed 100 managers of Norwegian companies and asked what they most respected in other companies.
