Having a strong employer brand is crucial for attracting and retaining talent, especially as the market picks up and employees become shrewder with their career decisions.
However, it does need to be two-sided. Building an effective employee value proposition (EVP) outlining what is expected from employees and what you will provide in return will go along way to strengthening the employer brand and contribute proportionately to engagement and productivity levels amongst staff.
